The Chicago Tribune's Chicago Shopping section lists our private tours, romance option, and Chocolate + Champagne Tour as unique Valentine's Day dates!

Any of our Chicago Chocolate Tours options would make great Valentine's experiences and beyond:

1. Add a romance option to a Chicago Chocolate Tour any day of the year

We can customize a public or private Chicago Chocolate Tour with the romance option of your choice: enjoy a Champagne toast after the tour at the Drake Hotel or at the top of the Hancock building in the Signature Lounge (popular in winter), or with a horse and carriage ride after the tour (more popular in summer!). All the arrangements will be made in advance for you, and your Tourguide will escort you to the location. Public tours are $40 per person, and the schedule is at www.chicagochocolatetours.com/tours. Private tours are $120 per couple. The Champagne toast is $15 per person, and the horse and carriage ride is $40 per couple.

2. Take our special Chocolate & Champagne Tour

In addition to our chocolate tours 52 weeks a year, we also offer a special once-a-year-only tour: our Chocolate & Champagne Tour, the Friday before Valentine's Day. This year it will be on Friday, February 10, at 5:30 pm, starting at 900 N. Michigan. Come with or without a date, with friends or family, or by yourself and make new friends! Guests will sample chocolate treats with Champagne themes, as well as glasses of Champagne, and will meet special Visiting Chocolatiers, and will learn the history and fun facts about both chocolate and Champagne. This tour sells out every year, and participating stores and additional details are at www.chicagochocolatetours.com/events. $50 per person.

3. Take a tour on Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day is Tuesday, February 14, 2012, and we'll offer a chocolate tour that day at 2:45 pm which will run until 5:30 pm, and a cupcake tour from 3:45 pm to 6:00 pm, so that you can have dessert before dinner! Chocolate is romantic any day of the year, and on Valentine's Day in addition to sampling extra special treats for the season, you'll learn extra facts about why people have linked chocolate and romance throughout history, which famous royals believed in chocolate's aphrodisiac powers, how Valentine's Day got so sweet, and whether chocolate affects men and women differently! Regular year-round price of $40 per person for the Chicago Chocolate Tour, and $50 per person for the Chicago Cupcake Tour (www.chicagochocolatetours.com/cupcake-tours).

4. Give Chicago Chocolate Tours gift certificates

Our gift certificates can be sent to you or directly to your gift recipient, in hard copy, or by email, and they never expire. www.chicagochocolatetours.com/gifts. $40 per person.

5. Propose marriage on a Chicago Chocolate Tour

We have had several couples get engaged to be married on our chocolate tours! We customize the tour for you, and this could range from having us pick up the ring in advance and tuck it under a specially marked truffle on a silver tray, to having a flash mob appear and sing "your song" before you pop the question! Some additional details are at www.chicagochocolatetours.com/bridal, and once you are engaged we can take care of the bachelorette party with a chocolate tour or a cupcake tour! Engagement tours are $40 per person for a public tour, or $120 per couple for a private tour, plus any extras that are selected, such as singers or flowers. And, if you get engaged with us, you and your spouse can then take a free tour with us every year to celebrate your anniversary!

Our Tourguide will take photos, and an online link will be sent to you after the tour, at no extra charge.

Book at www.chicagochocolatetours.com/buy, or 312-929-2939, with Visa, MC, or Discover.

Let us take care of the details and create a sweet, unforgettable experience!
