Join us for a Chicago Chocolate Tour! We tour all year round, and our tours this summer are exciting and inviting. July is National Ice Cream month, and we've got samples of chocolate ice cream, gelato, or chilled yogurt for you, depending on the route! Open tours take place every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, and private tours happen throughout the week and weekends.

Enjoying a Chicago Chocolate Tour
A Chicago Chocolate Tour is a fun and educational guided walking and tasting tour of select chocolate shops. You'll visit some of Chicago's most popular chocolate stores, and some of the city's secret chocolate treasures, as you delve deeply into the rich history of chocolate.

Learn about fine chocolates, the world history of chocolate, and Chicago’s beautiful architecture as you savor the flavors, and walk off the calories!

 

What are the tour routes and schedules?
 

Fridays at 12:45 pm - Chocolate Shops of the Loop: Leonidas, Argo, Hannah's
Bretzel, Lavazza, Frango - Loop, Sarah's at Macy's. Meet at the information desk inside at 231 S. LaSalle Street (Bank of America building). 209909-918466-thumbnail.jpg
On an alumni group tour

Saturdays at 10:45 am - Chocolate Shops of Andersonville, which takes you to Chocolate Gourmet, Katherine-Anne Confections, Sweet Occasions and More, The Swedish Bakery, and Bon Bon. Meet at the Andersonville Galleria, 5247 N. Clark.

Saturdays at 3:45 pm - Chocolate Shops of the Magnificent Mile: Teuscher Chocolates, Lindt, Godiva, Frango -Water Tower, Hershey's, Berry Chill. Meet at the information desk inside at 900 N. Michigan Avenue. (Validated parking is available in the building at $12 for 3 hours.)

Sundays at 1:45 pm - Chocolate Shops of the Gold Coast: Teuscher Chocolates, Lindt, Godiva, Hershey's, Argo - Gold Coast, Sarah's Pastries and Candies. Meet at the information desk inside at 900 N. Michigan Avenue. (Validated parking is available in the building at $12 for 3 hours.)

Other days and times on any of our routes - Contact us for availability, and it's likely that one of our 8 tourguides will be able to accomodate you!

Private tours on any of our routes - Call us at 312-929-2939 or email us  to schedule your private tour on a weekend or weekday, at various times of day such as 10 am, 2 pm, 4 pm, or 6 pm. 

Note: Advance ticket purchase is recommended for all tours - click here for tickets - and tour routes are subject to change due to weather, store schedules, etc. And, if you're scheduling a private tour, you can help customize the route. We tour year-round, and chocolate tastes great in all kinds of weather! Plus, we'll be inside Chicago's famous vertical malls during portions of the Mag Mile tours.

 

 

 

 

 

How much does a Chicago Chocolate Tour cost?

$40 per person. Includes samples! Cash, Visa, MC, Discover, and AmEx accepted. And, validated parking is available at 900 N. Michigan Avenue for 3 hours at $12. To purchase tickets, contact us or click here.

When are the next open tours?   

Open tours on our Magnificent Mile routes run on Saturdays from 3:45 - 6:00 pm, and Sunday afternoons from 1:45 - 4:00 pm. We leave from the Information Desk at 900 N. Michigan
Avenue. 

In addition, tours on our downtown Loop route run on Fridays from 12:45 - 3:00 pm, leaving from the Information Desk inside the Bank of America building at 231 S. LaSalle Street.

And, Andersonville route tours run Saturdays from 10:45 am - 1 pm, and start at the Andersonville Galleria at 5247 N. Clark Street.
