Join us for a Chicago Chocolate Tour! We tour all year round, and our tours are exciting and inviting. Open tours take place every Wednesday through Sunday (please see below for schedules), and private tours happen throughout the week and weekends.

Enjoying a Chicago Chocolate Tour
A Chicago Chocolate Tour is a fun and educational 2 1/2-hour guided walking and tasting tour of select chocolate shops, bakeries, and cafes, including traditional and non-traditional chocolate locations. You'll visit some of Chicago's most popular chocolate stores, and some of the city's secret chocolate treasures, as you delve deeply into the rich history of chocolate and discover chocolate in expected as well as surprising places.

Learn about fine chocolates, the world history of chocolate, and Chicago’s beautiful architecture as you savor the flavors, and walk off the calories!

The cost is $40 for a public tour, or $50 for a private tour. Group rates are available.

 

What are the tour routes and schedules?

Wednesdays at 5:45 pm - Chocolate Locations of the South Loop: Canady le chocolatier, Panozzo's, Marble Slab Creamery, Little Branch Cafe (note: wine will be served at the final stop!). Meet outside of Canady le chocolatier, 824 S. Wabash Avenue. Walking level: Easy to Intermediate.

Thursdays at 12:45 pm - Chocolate Locations of the Downtown Loop: Sarah's Pastries and Candies at Macy's, Frango - Loop, Charbonnel at Macy's, Hannah's
Bretzel, Argo. Meet at the old Marshall Field's / Macy's at 111 N. State Street, by the information desk on the ground floor by the fountain. Walking level: Easy to Intermediate.

Fridays at 12:45 pm - Chocolate Locations of the Loop: Sarah's Pastries and Candies at Macy's, Frango - Loop, Charbonnel at Macy's, Lavazza Cafe, Hannah's
Bretzel, Argo. Meet at the old Marshall Field's / Macy's at 111 N. State Street, by the information desk on the ground floor by the fountain. Walking level: Easy to Intermediate.

New ~ Saturdays at 2:45 pm - Chocolate Locations of Lakeview. Paciugo, House of Fine Chocolates, Bobtail Ice Cream, Chicago Popcorn Works, Baladoche. Meet outside of Paciugo at 3241 N. Broadway. Walking level: Intermediate.

Private tours - Call us at 312-929-2939 or email us to schedule your private tour, based on availability. We generally don't tour on Mondays, due to some store schedules, and our team meeting. Public tours are $40 per person, and private tours are $50 per person. Group rates are available.

Note: Advance ticket purchase and RSVP is recommended for all tours so that we know if we've reached capacity, and so that we can let the stores know how many chocolate lovers to expect, and also so that we can staff our tours accordingly to give you a first-class experience - click here for tickets - and tour routes are subject to change due to weather, store schedules, etc.

We tour year-round, and chocolate tastes great in all kinds of weather! Plus, we'll be inside Chicago's famous vertical malls during portions of the Mag Mile tours.

 

How much does a Chicago Chocolate Tour cost?

When are the next open tours?

Our South Loop route happens Wednesdays at 5:45 pm, starting at Canady le chocolatier, 824 S. Wabash Avenue.

In addition, tours on our downtown Loop route run on Thursdays and Fridays at 12:45 pm, leaving from the ground-floor Information Desk, next to the fountain, inside Macy's at 111 N. State Street.

Open tours on our Magnificent Mile / Gold Coast route run on Saturdays at 9:45 am, 12:45 pm, and 3:45 pm, and Sunday afternoons at 1:45 pm. We leave from the Information Desk at 900 N. Michigan
Avenue.

We've started a new tour route in Chicago's Lakeview neighborhood, Saturdays at 2:45 pm, starting at Paciugo, 3241 N. Broadway.

All tours are around 2 1/2 hours long.
