1. General Manager
Chicago Chocolate Tours seeks a first-class office superstar as our General Manager!
Do you have managerial experience, and are you a proactive people-person, with a positive attitude, who is also detail-focused and highly organized?
Are you an energetic go-getter who loves working with a sense of urgency?
Do you love the hospitality industry and making people happy every day?
Are you the right person to:
- manage a busy, upbeat office and maintain productivity
- oversee the schedule
- take care of customers
- communicate with partner stores
- oversee the team
- liaise with charity partners
- report directly to and work with our Founder
- handle other initiatives that arise
And: must love chocolate!
Terms:
You'd be an independent contractor with a flexible schedule, and some work can be done from home. Possibility for advancement within the company.

2. Tourguides- open
Calling all actors: get paid to eat chocolate!
What: Chicago Chocolate Tours is looking for energetic and outgoing people to join our fun team. Lead tours to Chicago's best chocolate shops and bakeries, and get paid $40 per tour plus tips and bonuses. Tourguides also sought for our Geneva, IL, route! Start immediately.
When: You'll have a flexible part-time schedule as an independent contractor, and you'll choose which dates you want to work. Private and public tours run weekdays and weekends, and our public tour schedule is at www.chicagochocolatetours.com/tours.
Skills: You have style and an attractive image, love chocolate and love people, and can memorize scripts and information quickly. You can perform with pep and enthusiasm, and are outgoing, with no stage fright. College grads preferred, or be the exception.

3. Interns for Event Planning, Marketing/PR, and Business Development- open
Chicago Chocolate Tours seeks college students or other ambitious individuals to help a busy, growing, fun company with marketing and media outreach, as well as with event planning for our Chocolate + Champagne Tours and other special events and private tours. See an entrepreneurial company from the inside. Liaise with our charity partners. Work with an energetic team, and be mentored by the founder, a Harvard College and Harvard Law School grad. These are unpaid internship with flexible hours (and free chocolate). Some work can be done from home. Room for advancement to paid roles within the company. (And did we mention free chocolate.)
You:
- Love chocolate.
- Love people and work well with a fun team.
- Have experience or interest in PR, marketing, social media, philanthropy, and/or general business.
- Have experience or interest in office skills such as Word, Excel, and proper phone and email communication.
Internship includes:
- Work with our vendors, customers, and charity partners on special events such as our Chocolate and Fashion Tours, and anniversary party.
- Assist with business tasks and development goals.
- Help market our tours and special events through the media, blogs, Facebook, and other means.
- Room for advancement: for the right person, this can lead to a paid role such as at the Assistant Manager level, in Chicago or in one of our other cities.

4. Weekend Manager / Hostess
Chicago Chocolate Tours seeks a superstar who wants to shine on the weekends!
Are you great on phones and emails and an expert in the spoken and written word? Detail focused and sharp? Positive and excellent at customer service? Polished for greeting customers in person?
Apply for our independent contractor Weekend Manager / Hostess role, and help chocolate lovers schedule their tours, and greet and welcome them on the weekends! Some duties may be similar to General Manager duties above.

5. Business Development (Sales) Associates- open
Chicago Chocolate Tours seeks individuals with sales and marketing experience, who would like to sell "the sweetest tours in town!"
Do you love chocolate, and love people? Are you highly motivated? Are you excited about working in the tourism and hospitality industry and making people happy every day? Our entrepreneurial team is looking for YOU!
Objectives:
- Book tours for corporate groups, convention attendees and spouses, bachelorette parties, university and school groups, others.
- Meet weekly to go over lists of people contacted, results, and next steps.
You:
- Love chocolate and people.
- Have great communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Are self-motivated and also work well with a warm, fun, professional team.
Terms: Receive a 15% commission on tours booked (and lots of chocolate of course). You'd be an independent contractor with a flexible schedule, and can work from home.
Additional avenues of income: sell tours in our other cities too.

6. Intern - for Women's Innovation Network (WIN)- open
Upbeat, detail-focused college student or other sought as interns for Women’s Innovation network – WIN, where Chicago Chocolate Tours Founder/CEO Valerie Beck is President and Co-Founder.
- Gain experience working with Valerie and other women entrepreneurs in a positive environment, on marketing WIN, building WIN membership, and planning WIN events including lining up speakers and venues.
- Network and make great contacts.
- Learn systems of running a nonprofit organization.
