- join us as we walk to Chicago's best cupcake shops and bakeries and other locations,
- to sample many forms and flavors of this one wonderful treat!
- Learn the history of the cupcake,
- what catapulted cupcakes to massive popularity in recent years,
- why red velvet cupcakes are red, and other clever cupcake facts.
- And, enjoy a cupcake to go, plus lots of samples on the spot!

When and where:
Tuesdays at 3:45 pm - Downtown Loop Cupcake Route, meet at Marshall Field's / Macy's, 111 N. State Street, inside by the big ground floor fountain, where you'll see your Tourguide. (map) Stops include: Sarah's Pastries and Candies - Macy's, Toni Patisserie, Flirty Cupcakes, and III Forks. Length: around 2 hours. Walking level: Intermediate. Click for parking or public transportation. Validated parking is available for $9 at the Fairmont Hotel at 200 N. Columbus near the tour ending point; ask at the Spa desk on the hotel's lower level.
Thursdays at 4:45 pm - Gold Coast Cupcake Route, meet at 900 N. Michigan Avenue, inside by the ground-floor concierge desk where you'll see your Tourguide. (map) Stops include: "Visiting Cupcake Baker" Swirlz Cupcakes, More Cupcakes, Sarah's Pastries and Candies, Hendrickx Belgian Bread Crafters. Length: around 2 hours. Walking level: Easy.
